Syed has many years of experience in teaching Biology to junior and middle school students. For a major part of his teaching career, Syed was associated with the Lincoln School in Siliguri. In addition to being a phenomenal teacher, Syed is a top-notch sports person who has won medals for 10 meters air pistol and 50 meters free pistol shooting. He is also proficient in the Brazilian martial arts Jiu Jitsu.
